Jon and Julia’s intimate Lloyd House wedding in Old Town Alexandria was full of silly faces, laughter, even a few tears. 
Julia and Jon got married on a Monday. A MONDAY! Talk about beating the Monday blues! They had a very low stress day with plenty of time to enjoy their family and friends. I have to use their words to describe their wedding day, because it shows their personalities so well!
“We are getting married at a historic home in Alexandria, VA (the city where we live). Julia is from Virginia and BIG into Virginia stuff (see her Virginia tattoos…) and Jon digs history (um, George Washington is from Alexandria…well that’s sort of a big deal) so it seemed like a reasonable fit”
The day started at the Embassy Suites and Law & Order: SVU. That started the theme of making sure a murderer wasn’t at the door. Lol 
Julia found her crown from Etsy, because that’s where you find everything cute. 🙂
Jon and Julia gave their wedding party thank you gifts just for being awesome. 
Then Cinderella lost her shoe….
But recovered quickly and effortlessly. 🙂

This was Jon’s idea to kind of recreate one of their favorite engagement photos. 🙂
After the Lloyd House we explored Old Town Alexandria for a little bit before heading to the Columbia Firehouse Restaurant for the reception.
My right-hand man was Doug Pettway once again, and I love his perspective. It’s fun to see how another photographer see’s a scene. 
The Columbia Firehouse had a cool historic feel. You just wanted to hang out and sip your favorite beverage all night.
